When picking a leash you want a strong quality leash that will not stretch. You want the hardware to be strong and reliable. The biothane material is a great material for a dog leash.

The slip lead is a great tool or leash walking and preventing a pulling dog from walking ahead. Marc Goldberg and the Monks Of New Skete have a great book on practical methods to training a dog with an ecollar. I highly recommend reading this book to better understand the gentle approach to ecollar training. 

Tug toys can be a great engagement tool for yo to work with your dog and also burn energy. For dogs who are more genetically inclined to use their teach this is a great way for them to get that energy out. You can teach and reinforce a lot of behaviors with a tug toy. 

Benebone chew toys are tough and last a long time. They come in different shapes and flavors so you can find which one is best for your dog. At this point in time we would say the Benebone is our number one pick for dog chew toys. 

Kong Toys are the best chew toys for dogs. They are strong and durable and they provide a variety of different options of entertainment for your dog. There are lists of ideas you can use treats with Kong toys. We recommend getting the black kong toy as it is the most durable and will last the longest. However the red kong is much easier to find when lost. 

One of the best treats for training when it comes to taste and price are the dog training treats from Cabelas. We use these treats for training and have enjoyed them. Make sure to not let them sit out for several days or they will get hard. 

These jerky treats are nice and soft and they don't smell bad. They break apart easy for training and dogs really like them. Make sure to not let them dry out or they will get hard. 

These freeze dried treats seem to be a big fovorite for the dogs we train. There are a lot of times where a dog won't take a treat and then we offer a freeze dried liver treat and they take it so these might come in handy and they are not messy. Down side is they are in larger pieces but still managable to train with. 

When using treats for training we can use the dog's normal dog food, a puppy food, or treats and put them into a training treat pouch. Having a way to carry treats with you and to also be easily accessible is helpful.

A slatmill is a dog treadmill made with slats and the one we use is completely powered by the dog. There is no motor. The dog can start and stop whenever they want and they can run as fast or slow as they want. This a great way to exercise your dog and also help them overcome fears. We primarily use our slatmill for confidence building but it is also great for in door exercise and makes it easy on the owner.
